POSITION OVERVIEW:
The prefabrication manager is involved in electrical preconstruction design and manages the prefabrication team. The purpose of the prefabrication manager is to provide efficient delivery systems, assemblies and innovative solutions that make projects more efficient and cost effective. This position gets involved early in projects, assists the PM & Foreman in constructability/best practices and designs/builds electrical assemblies, wiring systems, racks, special systems, and many other services for installation by the field. The prefabrication manager helps to promote jobsite safety and cultivates a service-oriented approach to the field by thinking “outside the box”, providing excellent customer service, maintaining quality assurance, and building efficient, time saving products that reduce labor in the field. Have to be able to read Blueprints, BIM, and Revit, Prepackaged all components and wiring, Retired Electrical Guy, and Electrician.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
o Maintain an injury/incident free workplace.
o Manage the preconstruction aspects of multiple concurrent projects while working with the project team to identify and produce prefabrication assemblies for specific projects.
o Ensure that schedules are met, financial targets are achieved while maintaining established safety and quality standards.
o Identify and recruit potential employees. Supervise & mentor prefab shop employees to develop leadership and enable their full potential.
o Create and promote a “Can Do” culture when anything is possible.
o Get to know and identify with your “customers” the Supervision & field personnel who work to make us successful!
o Manage all activities associated with safety, production, packaging, shipping, training, procurement, prefabrication, staffing and production for projects.
o Plan and schedule resources to meet project milestones.
o Lead role in constructability planning, Manage the project planning & prefab design.
o Act as liaison with project staff to identify and process scope changes, bottlenecks,
and communicate regarding project milestones, etc.
o Interact in the submittal process with the PM & Purchasing Manager.
o Communicate, Communicate & Communicate!
o Order and organize materials and tools necessary for the profitable operation of our Prefabrication department.
o Train workers in the most efficient prefabrication means and methods.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior experience and understanding of the prefabrication business as it applies to electrical construction.
o Must have proven success running operations or electrical construction projects for
a medium-sized electrical contractor.
o A Leader, with strong written & Verbal communication skills are required.
o Must have an entrepreneurial attitude.
o Minimum of 10 years of related electrical construction experience or as a General Foreman or Foreman with some previous prefab experience.
o Experience with Constructability analysis, lean manufacturing, prefabricated assemblies, project logistics and delivery systems.
o Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and NEIS.
o A Creative thinker with an entrepreneurial attitude.
o Proactively develop “Outside of the Box” solutions to increase productivity and profit.
o Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with very tight deadlines.
o Must be organized, detailed-oriented and efficient.
o Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook. Fluent in Bluebeam Revue and a passing knowledge of navigating through the BIM model in Revit or Navisworks. Familiar with Trimble Total Station

DESIRABLE TRAITS & QUALIFICATIONS:
o Knowledge of estimating labor units.
o Manufacturing and/or Lean Construction background.
o Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Electrical design.
o OSHA 30 certification.
o Certified Welder.
o Familiarity with Photovoltaic Systems & Battery Storage.
o Industrial and/or process control background.
o Knowledge of fire alarm, Camera, Access Control or other structured wiring systems.
o Non-Smoker
