Expected Salary:  $140,000 – $150,000

Overview:
This role is ideal for a technically driven and forward-thinking MEP professional with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that conducts technical assessments, system evaluations, energy audits, and design reviews for a wide range of commercial buildings and facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) with architectural and engineering teams

  • Assist clients in developing annual capital budgets and operations/maintenance cost forecasts

  • Perform peer reviews of building designs for compliance, efficiency, and performance

  • Carry out energy audits, system commissioning, and forensic evaluations

  • Support construction management efforts and participate in design and evaluation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Interact professionally with clients, design teams, and site personnel

  • Participate in a wide variety of technically challenging projects with meaningful impact

  • Travel to project sites approximately 25–50% of the time


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with MEP focus

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP system design, analysis, or evaluation

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management experience

  • Expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems, with working knowledge of electrical systems and energy conservation practices

  • Familiarity with national/state building codes, commissioning processes, and facilities engineering

  • LEED and/or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized with ability to multitask

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Box platforms

  • Passion for sustainability and the ability to integrate green strategies into building assessments


Physical Requirements:

  • Use of computer and standard office software/hardware

  • Ability to visually inspect plans, designs, and on-site conditions

  • Navigate active job sites, including rough terrain, ladders, tight spaces, and unconditioned environments

  • Lift up to 50 pounds; respond to site hazards with awareness and agility

  • Willingness to travel both in- and out-of-state up to 50% of the time
