Position Overview:
We are seeking a forward-thinking, licensed MEP Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial building projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about technical excellence, sustainability, and providing tailored consulting solutions to clients across a broad range of asset types.
This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility to work remotely part of the week while engaging with multidisciplinary teams and traveling to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform and lead Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs)

Assist clients with the development of annual capital expenditure and maintenance budgets

Conduct peer reviews of MEP system designs for commercial and institutional projects

Execute energy audits, commissioning, forensic evaluations, and system performance analyses

Evaluate and support design and construction of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems

Maintain strong client relationships through site visits, professional communication, and timely deliverables

Engage in diverse project types—office, industrial, multi-family, hospitality, education, and more
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with MEP emphasis

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required

Minimum 10 years of experience in building systems design, engineering, or consulting

Expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems, with a working knowledge of electrical distribution and energy management concepts

Familiarity with national and state building codes, commissioning standards, and energy/sustainability programs

LEED AP or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong time management and organizational abilities

Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Box

Ability to collaborate across disciplines and mentor junior staff
Physical Requirements:

Navigate construction sites, ladders, stairs, confined spaces, and uneven terrain

Work in a range of environmental conditions, including outdoor or unconditioned areas

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, hear and respond to environmental cues, and maintain visual acuity for technical tasks

Operate computers and standard office equipment with accuracy and efficiency
