We are seeking a seasoned Underground Transmission Manager to lead the design, engineering, and execution of complex underground utility transmission projects. This leadership role is ideal for a professional with deep technical knowledge of underground systems, including trenchless installation methods, and a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive project success, and build strong client relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering, design, and execution of underground transmission line projects, with a strong emphasis on trenchless installation methods such as HDD, jack-and-bore, or microtunneling

  • Manage and coordinate all phases of construction, installation, maintenance, documentation, and testing for underground transmission systems

  • Prepare and review high-quality engineering deliverables, including construction documents, design reports, and technical specifications

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of junior and mid-level engineers

  • Collaborate across internal teams including civil, structural, and permitting disciplines

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships and identifying future opportunities

  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, scope definition, and strategic client engagement


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission line engineering, with at least 5 years focused on underground transmission

  • Extensive knowledge of trenchless technology and underground construction techniques

  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and complex infrastructure projects

  • Strong client-facing, organizational, and leadership skills

  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, etc.)
