Position Overview:
Seeking a Senior Associate – Structural Engineer to lead and support structural evaluations and designs for commercial and industrial properties, including office, retail, hospitality, and high-rise multifamily. This role requires deep technical knowledge, independent project oversight, and client interfacing skills for structural assessments, seismic retrofits, and repair strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review/analyze structural drawings, specs, and calculations for new construction.

  • Perform property condition assessments (PCAs) and evaluate existing systems.

  • Diagnose structural issues and develop repair/retrofit documentation.

  • Lead small projects and contribute technically to larger ones.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

  • Write and deliver technical reports.

  • Travel as needed to project and client sites.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • PE license required.

  • 10+ years’ experience in structural design/consulting.

  • Expertise in building codes, seismic lateral systems, and construction methods.

  • Experience with seismic evaluations (ASCE 41) and retrofits preferred.

  • Familiarity with parking structure assessments a plus.

  • Knowledge of building materials and on-site construction processes.

  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, organized, and client-focused.


Software & Tools:

  • AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word/Excel, Box required.

  • Revit, PlanGrid experience preferred.
