Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong leadership and technical expertise to support and lead a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing complex electrical systems, overseeing technical teams, and engaging directly with clients, architects, and contractors. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through completion while promoting innovation and sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design and construction administration on multiple simultaneous projects.

Plan and design code-compliant electrical systems for sectors including healthcare, education, data centers, life sciences, and commercial facilities.

Conduct short circuit, voltage drop, breaker coordination, and arc flash studies.

Design and specify EPSS, standby power, and critical power systems per NEC Articles 700–702.

Participate in project presentations and client meetings; serve as primary client contact when necessary.

Mentor and direct junior engineers and designers; assign tasks and monitor project schedules.

Ensure all technical work aligns with project requirements, internal QA/QC procedures, and industry standards.

Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions.

Prepare and review design documents, specifications, and reports.

Conduct field observations and generate site visit reports.

Utilize energy compliance software to validate alignment with applicable codes (EnergyPro, COMCheck).

Assist with scope, schedule, and budget development; manage change orders and budget revisions.

Ensure designs comply with building codes, energy codes, and sustainability goals (LEED).

Actively participate in internal design reviews and construction team meetings.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

5–8 years of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering

In-depth knowledge of NEC, energy codes, and industry best practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, BIM 360/ACC, and Bluebeam Revu

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision

Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred:

PE License (or actively pursuing)

LEED accreditation

Familiarity with SKM Power Tools or similar electrical analysis software

Experience working on hyperscale data center projects or other mission-critical facilities
