Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable MEP Project Manager with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or piping trades. This position plays a vital role in coordinating technical scope, subcontractor performance, procurement, and financial tracking throughout all MEP phases of a construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze customer proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility
• Assist with estimating and subcontractor proposal evaluations to confirm technical and scope accuracy
• Support contract negotiations and define scope responsibilities with subcontractors and vendors
• Review and ensure construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals align with project scope
• Oversee coordination between design, engineering, and field teams
• Monitor and report financial status of MEP work; verify red file updates
• Ensure actual MEP construction progress aligns with the overall project schedule
• Oversee procurement and timely delivery of MEP materials per specs and budget
• Participate in payment application reviews, change orders, and scope adjustments
• Visit job sites as needed; may require temporary relocation during key MEP phases
• Enforce safety program compliance on all MEP operations
• Supervise assigned drafters and administrative personnel for MEP-related deliverables
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant MEP or industrial construction experience
• Strong understanding of cost analysis, estimating software, and load calculations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to use specialized software tools
• Excellent coordination, communication, and team leadership skills
• Must be adaptable, motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Regular exposure to office and active construction site conditions (including noise, height, dust, and weather variations)
• Overtime may be required during peak project phases
