This Company is looking for a Process Engineer to help develop and manage client programs within the Food and Beverage industry. The right candidate will have proven knowledge and experience with operational and manufacturing processes common within the industry. The individual will leverage industry knowledge and experience to help establish and manage pre-construction efforts (design, estimating, scheduling and scope development) in order for sales team to successfully negotiate design and construction contracts with clients.
JOB DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Participate in Needs Assessments and System Audits with Owners/Clients to identify support opportunities
- Collaborate to develop solution offering integrating food processing and manufacturing expertise
- Provide risk assessments through performance of SWOT Analysis
- Develop basis of design concepts, governing criteria, milestone schedules and Class 4 estimates of service offering
- Participate in the sales process including client meetings, interviews and proposal development as necessary
- Identify and manage Company pre-qualification process for discipline specific service and solution providers
- Develop and manage scope of work, basis of designs, and performance specifications to ensure technical feasibility
- Assist with bid package content necessary to solicit proposals from discipline specific service providers
- Support Request for Information (RFI) as part of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process
- Review, vet, tabulate, and provide recommendations on proposals received
- Support value-engineering analysis of proposed design and schedule related alternatives
- Support contracting of Design/Eng. Consultants and/or Design-Build Contractors
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) reviews through design and specification development
- Participate in Weekly Owner Meetings and Monthly Project Review meetings when applicable
- Support contracting of subcontractors and vendors and material suppliers
- Perform periodic QA/QC site inspections of on-going construction projects
- Support development of Integrated Turnover Plan
- Provide Commissioning & Start-up oversight
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough knowledge, understanding and competency of food processing and manufacturing processes
- Professional Engineer or directly related industry experience demonstrating progressive responsibility and accountability in Food & Beverage industry
- Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
- Ability to manage people and resources to achieve company goals
