Position Overview
The Junior Electrical Estimator will support estimating efforts for design-build electrical projects with values up to $2 million. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong hands-on field experience who is looking to transition into estimating. Practical field knowledge will be heavily relied upon to support accurate takeoffs, scope reviews, and design-build collaboration.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with estimating electrical construction projects up to $2M

Support design-build estimating, including scope review and constructability input

Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using Accubid or similar software

Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and design teams

Review drawings, specifications, and design documents

Leverage field experience to identify potential risks, efficiencies, and cost impacts

Help prepare bid packages and proposal documentation

Participate in job walks and pre-bid meetings as required
Qualifications & Skills

Strong background in electrical field operations (journeyman-level or equivalent experience highly valued)

Understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction practices

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

Familiarity with design-build delivery methods preferred

Basic estimating knowledge or willingness to learn estimating processes

Experience with Accubid is a plus but not mandatory
