Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for commercial and multifamily electrical construction projects. This role is critical in developing accurate, competitive bids and ensuring smooth project transitions from estimating through project execution.
The ideal candidate collaborates closely with leadership, project managers, and field teams to deliver high-quality estimates that support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and jobsite conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates

Develop detailed bids, proposals, and scopes of work within required deadlines

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing

Support project managers during preconstruction and project handoff

Conduct site visits as needed to validate scope and project conditions

Track project status, change orders, and pricing updates throughout the project lifecycle

Maintain organized estimating files, historical pricing data, and bid documentation

Stay current with electrical codes, material pricing, and market trends

Understand and support the submittal process for approved switching and lighting packages

Track bid activity for forecasting and future workload planning
Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, multifamily, or industrial projects

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, Vision InfoSoft, and Excel

Solid knowledge of electrical distribution systems and controls

Strong understanding of electrical installation methods and the National Electrical Code (NEC)

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Valid driver’s license
