Expected Salary: $100,00 – $105,000
Experience Required: 5+ Years (Post-PE)
Position Overview
We’re seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join a high-performing engineering team delivering comprehensive HVAC and plumbing design solutions across a wide range of construction projects.
This is a well-rounded, hands-on role where you’ll be involved in the full project lifecycle—from initial design through construction and commissioning—while also mentoring junior staff and contributing to technical excellence across the team.
If you’re a collaborative, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys both design and field involvement, this is a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Design HVAC and plumbing systems across residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and healthcare projects.
Perform heating/cooling load calculations, energy modeling, and life-cycle cost analysis.
Develop detailed, code-compliant construction documents (drawings and specifications).
Support construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and project closeout.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Write and edit specifications (CSI Divisions 22 & 23).
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete and accurate designs.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work for quality and compliance.
What We’re Looking For
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California (in good standing for 5+ years).
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in HVAC and plumbing system design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit (Revit preferred).
Familiarity with building codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, IAPMO, etc.).
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Why This Role Stands Out
Opportunity to work on diverse, high-impact projects across multiple industries.
Involvement in the full project lifecycle, not just design.
Strong emphasis on team collaboration and mentorship.
Growth-oriented environment with exposure to complex engineering challenges.
