Position Overview:
A well-established commercial electrical contractor is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator with strong leadership capabilities and deep industry expertise. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, ranging from conceptual budgets to design-build proposals. This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to oversee and guide junior estimators, while playing a key role in winning new work.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare comprehensive and accurate estimates for commercial electrical projects using Trimble Accubid Anywhere

Analyze drawings, specifications, and other bid documents to develop detailed take-offs and pricing

Lead and review the work of Junior Estimators to ensure accuracy and consistency across all proposals

Develop conceptual budgets and Design/Build estimates, including power distribution, lighting layouts, and low-voltage systems

Interface with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and evaluate scope coverage

Collaborate with project management teams during turnover to ensure continuity and alignment of scope, cost, and schedule

Assist with contract review and participate in negotiations

Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, clients, and design teams
Requirements:

Proven experience developing conceptual budgets and Design/Build proposals

Strong understanding of the NEC and local building/electrical codes

Deep knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and systems

High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Experience with Trimble Accubid Anywhere is required

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Must be able to lead by example, provide mentorship, and contribute to team growth
Education:

High school diploma required

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
