Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Field Engineer (FE) to support commercial electrical construction projects in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC). This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals beginning their career in electrical construction and project management. The FE will assist the Project Engineer (PE), Project Manager (PM), and General Foreman (GF) with field and administrative support tasks related to project execution.
This role is primarily based on-site at TRIC for the duration of the project (estimated at least one year), with occasional visits to the Carson City office.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the PE/PM/GF with quantity tracking and progress verification

Support RFI (Request for Information) preparation and tracking under PE/GF guidance

Aid in Procore project management, document uploads, and task organization

Walk job sites with the GF to assess and document percent complete

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on site

Assist in the preparation of design, pull, working, and installed drawings

Solicit quotes and proposals for equipment and materials

Initiate field purchase requisitions with direction from the GF or PM

Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and equipment purchased in the field

Strong interest in electrical construction and field engineering

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Ability to work in varying weather conditions and be physically mobile on large job sites

Willingness to be flexible, adaptable, and maintain composure under pressure

Effective communicator and team player

Proficient with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn Procore and construction software
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)

Recent graduates or candidates with internship/field exposure in electrical or general construction are encouraged to apply
Work Environment & Travel:

Primary site location: Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC)

Occasional travel to the Carson City office for meetings or coordination

Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions
