Position Summary
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing complete, accurate, and competitive electrical estimates for commercial construction projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict bid deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates and quantity take-offs
- Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents in detail
- Develop accurate project pricing within required bid timelines
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare and manage estimating RFIs
- Ensure estimates comply with project specifications and requirements
- Participate in bid strategy discussions and project turnover meetings
- Support project kickoff meetings with operations and project management teams
- Manage multiple bids concurrently and collaborate with other estimators as needed
- Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and site visits
- Maintain confidentiality of all estimating data, pricing, and strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers
- Attend training seminars, workshops, and industry events as directed
