Salary Range
$78,000 – $180,000, depending on experience, role level, and project complexity

Position Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and business development efforts for electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate estimates, budgets, and proposals while working closely with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings to prepare labor, material, equipment, and cost estimates

Review project specifications and general conditions to ensure accurate scope coverage

Organize bid documents, perform detailed quantity takeoffs, and prepare bid RFIs

Finalize bids using computerized estimating systems

Identify and solicit qualified subcontractors and suppliers; review pricing for completeness and compliance

Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve pre-bid issues

Prepare detailed proposals and review estimates with customers

Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and business development functions as required

Provide value engineering options and cost alternatives for client review

Support project kickoff meetings and collaborate with Project Managers and field leadership to ensure clear understanding of awarded scopes

Maintain estimating documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general comfort with technology

Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems, including low-voltage systems

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with estimating and design software such as Bluebeam, Accubid, Revit, and CAD

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Prior experience supporting large or complex electrical construction projects
