Essential Functions
Leverage your engineering expertise and passion for building systems to make an impact across a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems with leadership skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key responsibilities include:

Collaborate with architectural and engineering teams to conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs).

Assist clients with the preparation of annual capital plans, operational budgets, and maintenance cost projections.

Perform peer reviews of building design documents for technical accuracy and constructability.

Conduct energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management, and HVAC, electrical, and plumbing system design assessments.

Interact directly with clients and on-site personnel to assess facility performance and provide technical guidance.

Participate in a diverse portfolio of projects, solving complex technical challenges and contributing to sustainable, efficient design solutions.

Travel to project sites as required (approximately 25–50%, both in-state and out-of-state).
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering (BSME, BSEE, or BSAE with mechanical or electrical specialty).

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Minimum 10 years of experience in the design, evaluation, or commissioning of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Proven track record of leadership and project management success in consulting or design environments.

Expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design and operation, with a strong working knowledge of electrical systems and energy conservation principles.

Familiarity with national and state building codes, energy standards, and sustainability best practices.

Experience with facilities engineering, energy auditing, commissioning, or sustainability consulting preferred.

LEED accreditation or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification a plus.

Ability to integrate sustainable design concepts into practical engineering solutions that align with client needs and regional requirements.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Box, and other engineering collaboration tools.

Collaborative and self-driven professional committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement in MEP engineering.
Physical Requirements

Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.

Sufficient visual acuity to read construction drawings and digital plans.

Capability to walk construction sites, including over uneven terrain or confined areas.

Ability to ascend/descend ladders or stairs, and navigate tight spaces safely.

Tolerance for outdoor weather conditions and unconditioned indoor environments.

Must be able to respond quickly to auditory or visual cues in active construction settings.

Travel 25–50% as required to project locations.
