Salary Range
$115,000 – $125,000, depending on experience and qualifications (competitive with the market).
Experience Required

5+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial and/or industrial construction

Experience estimating large-scale projects such as data centers, industrial facilities, or complex commercial projects preferred
Location
Based in Northern Nevada (Carson City / Reno area). Relocation assistance may be available. Hybrid flexibility may be considered depending on experience.
Position Summary
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project management and operations teams to support bidding, budgeting, and long-term project planning. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate risk while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects

Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop accurate bids

Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment

Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations

Develop labor projections and pricing based on project scope and schedule

Identify project risks, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities

Participate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and handoff meetings

Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Leadership to ensure estimate accuracy

Maintain estimating databases, pricing updates, and historical cost data

Support preconstruction planning and budgeting efforts
Qualifications & Skills

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction means and methods

Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
