Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Low Voltage Technician to support and grow a low voltage division in the Carson City, NV area. This role is ideal for a well-rounded technician with hands-on experience across multiple low voltage systems, along with the ability to lead projects and mentor team members.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proactive attitude toward learning and development. While broad experience is preferred, candidates with high potential and a willingness to grow will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems
  • Work across a variety of systems, including:
    • Fire alarm systems (highly preferred / critical experience)
    • CCTV (video surveillance)
    • Access control systems
    • Telecommunications and data (tel/data) systems
    • Fiber optic systems
    • Audio-visual systems
  • Mentor and support junior technicians in the field
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to code
  • Coordinate with team members and project stakeholders as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in low voltage systems, with strong emphasis on fire alarm systems
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, fiber optics, and tel/data systems
  • Demonstrated leadership or lead technician experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to train others and contribute to team development
  • Ability to work independently and manage field responsibilities

Union Requirements

  • Must be willing to work within a union environment
  • Required to join IBEW Local 401 (membership not required at time of hire but must be obtained)
  • Must be comfortable adhering to union standards and practices

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target base compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 annually (final compensation determined in accordance with union guidelines)

  • Travel directly from home to job sites

Location

  • Based in Carson City, NV
  • Preference for local candidates in Northern Nevada; relocation may be considered

Start Date

  • Immediate / ASAP

Interview Process
